Procured Skilled Worker sponsor licence to London-based boutique service provider
This case study explores how Latitude Law helped a niche business recruit their preferred candidate from overseas.
The Challenges Faced
Client provides regular investor reporting services for alternative investment funds with a total fund value of over 50 billion EUR. Since Brexit however, the organisation had struggled to recruit. Through recruitment activities, they identified a Chinese national who was working for an organisation in France. They wished to employ the individual to undertake a permanent role but did not know how to go about securing sponsor licence status for themselves and apply for the appropriate visa for their newly appointed employee.
How Latitude Law Helped
Latitude Law advised and guided the client on their sponsor licence application including providing extensive information about how the organisation would be able to meet their compliance duties. The licence application was successful, and Latitude Law also helped with the preparation and submission of the worker's Skilled Worker entry clearance application.
The Outcome
The employee was able to join the business and Latitude Law subsequently provided the organisation with advice about conducting Right to Work checks, and provided a compliance pack to ensure the organisation was aware of the documents and information that must be retained throughout their sponsorship.
