Client is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a European multi-national operating in the pharmaceutical / consumer medical sector. One of their key personnel was a Ukrainian national and employee of the parent company whom the company wanted to relocate to join the UK business as a direct consequence of the Ukraine war. The move was challenging as it involved the employee taking a lesser role in the business, thus bringing the question of genuineness into play: was the hire necessary, or simply a device to secure the employee’s departure from a war-torn country.
