Can I reduce the hours and / or salary of a sponsored worker, and do I need to report via SMS?

Again, the current Home Office guidance has not yet directly addressed this issue. Reducing hours and salary can be problematic where this causes a drop below what was advertised before sponsorship (where the RLMT has taken place) and/or what is required under the appropriate Code of Practice. UKVI has confirmed that if a worker takes more than 4 weeks unpaid leave (up to 4 weeks being permitted under normal rules), there is no current requirement to immediately withdraw sponsorship. This is an indication that other changes to hours or salary may be tolerated, but further guidance is needed.
