Latitude Law – the Year in Review

With 2020 around the corner we have taken a moment to look back on this year and, with a view to ending on a positive note, we thought we’d share some of our highlights.

New HQ

Early in the year we moved into our new offices on Oxford Street. The move marks a step in our ongoing plans for growth and we were delighted to welcome our team and clients into our new HQ. In fact we celebrated in style this month, closing the year with our first Christmas party in our offices.

Fantastic Clients

We have supported hundreds of clients and their businesses. Achieving the right result for our clients and enabling them to take their businesses and their lives forward is something we are always proud of. And we have been overwhelmed this year with some amazing thanks and feedback from our clients. Here are just a few of their comments.

“I cannot recommend Latitude Law highly enough. Their expertise in the area of immigration law has helped our charity navigate quite complex issues and at every point of the process their communication and advice was excellent. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with Latitude Law and highly recommend their services.”

“This is the best Law Firm in the UK.“

Fantastic company, easily the best immigration firm in Manchester without a shadow of a doubt.”

Amazing team

Thanks to our amazing team here at Latitude Law, the firm was once again listed in the Legal 500’s Tier 1 for the region, and Chambers and Partners recognised managing director, Gary McIndoe, for his expertise in corporate and high net worth immigration.

We hosted our third Latitude Law Staff Conference – this time visiting the amazing Marrakech. The team got three days’ planning and development time together and were joined by one of our former paralegals who has retrained as a meditation teacher, running sessions poolside each morning. The client feedback we receive is because of our great team here at Latitude and we work hard to ensure that Latitude Law is not only a great place to work, but also somewhere that individuals have their skills recognised, developed and rewarded.

We also wrapped up the year with a trip to China with our clients UTT Group, visiting the firm’s new Beijing office before meeting with business leaders and local government officials in Shanghai and Shenyang. Our founder Gary McIndoe headed out on the visit and, whilst in Shenyang, delivered a presentation on UK migration options to an audience of around 60 business people from this city of 8.2 million people.

Media-worthy expertise

This Autumn, we were one of only a handful of legal experts interviewed by the BBC as part of their investigative documentary Who Should Get to Stay in the UK? As expert UK Immigration Solicitors we featured alongside two of our clients in the three-part BBC documentary. Managing Director and founder of Latitude Law, Gary McIndoe, featured in the third episode along with two of our clients, Onyi and Doaa. The documentary showed the fantastic positive impact that the successful outcomes have given our clients Doaa and her family and Onyi and her partner Craig. But also the hard work and often heartache for all involved.

Throughout the year we have provided comment and insights into ever-changing immigration policy and the resulting impact on business for publications such as HR Magazine and People Management. We have also continued to publish top tips, guides and shared our expertise on key immigration issues for businesses including:

What You Need to Know about Employing Overseas Staff

We would like to thank our team, our clients and our partners for shaping and sharing our 2019 highlights and look forward to more great things in the new year.

Although we know that uncertainty and challenges will still reign in terms of UK immigration policy we are pleased to be able to provide the best advice and support. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of the team get in touch here.

Best wishes and looking forward to working with you in 2020.
