Are the Home Office still processing and deciding cases?
Yes. We have not been notified that the Home Office have stopped processing cases and we assume that they will continue to process cases as long as they have the appropriate staff to do this. It is likely that the Home Office have a contingency plan in place for caseworkers to work remotely if necessary in line with government guidance.
The Home Office have now updated most of their guidance pages with a generic warning that delays will be caused due to Covid-19.
Note: Decision making times, in general, remain consistent but some cases appear to ‘fall through the cracks’ and can take considerably longer than usual.
